Let's Get Fancy :D

Hellooooooo!  How are we doing today?  Let me start off by saying that I do have the "not-church mani" I spoke about yesterday to show you but it will be at the end of this post :)

The mani I have to show you is one that I wore right before I started my "Think Pink" week.  I did this design to celebrate my amazingly wonderful friend's senior recital (it's basically a small concert a student puts on to complete their studies as a music major).  She was fabulous as always!

My idea was to do something related to "concert black".  And then I got to thinking that my friend will definitely end up on stage at the Met someday so I tuxedo-ed them up!

Colors Used: Rimmel - Black Satin, Konad - Special White, Sally Hansen - Pumping Iron, Julep - Vanessa

I started with 2 coats of Black Satin and then free-handed the white tux shirt.  I then took my dotting tool and made the bow tie and buttons.  With a small brush, I detailed the bow with Pumping Iron.  I added the striping tape as an after thought and then applied Vanessa to the rest of my nails

I liked the way it came out and my friend was flattered :)

Black, tuxedo, glitter, laser tape, nail art, design, mani

I have a polish haul to share with you right after the jump!  Woot!!

I'm a little late posting my Julep mail but here it is...

I received the Boho Glam box...

In it I found these 2 lovelies!  Robin and Daisy :)

I also got a hand/face lotion which has the signature orange-citrus scent to it, love it!

Aaaand I got a vanilla mint lip balm which is just wonderful!

I don't know what happened to the pic of the pixi-stix's they sent me but it was a fun and tasty touch lol.  I've read a lot of reviews and comments about Julep recently that have been pretty negative/terrible.  I haven't experienced anything awful with their Maven program and for $20 a month I am pleased as punch with everything.  For a small company, they really go above and beyond for there customers and I really appreciate it :)

There are the pretties I picked up at Forever 21 this past Friday...
Love & Beauty - Beige, Nude (Ginger Scented), Gold and Crystal/Multi

They REALLY need to start getting more creative with their polish names!  Lol.  I am in love with the beige.  it's practically a one coater, my heart skipped a beat when I first used it!  The ginger polish smells unbelievably delicious!!  It makes me think of gingerbread men haha.  The gold is a really pretty glitter that I think is going to look gorgeous over some of my bold yellow polishes :)  The crystal looks like broken pieces of rainbow foil in a bottle.  I can't wait to try this one out as well!

Lastly, my "not-church mani" (If you have no clue what I'm talking about refer to yesterdays post here)...

Colors Used: Love & Beauty - Beige, Sally Hansen - Mellow Yellow, Julep - Rose, Sinful Colors - Snow Me White

My dress is a maxi dress that's similar to this one in cut but with the coloring a vertical striping of my nails and I looooove it!

Ok, that's it!  That's all!  I hope this post makes up for the last 2 day's being pretty lame :P

Until next time!
