Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Hello lovelies!

I'm getting this post in just under the wire lol.  It's been a very very very long day but I just have to share this before bed.  Because... well, it won't be St Patricks day tomorrow!

Colors Used:  A whole lot!

I'm too tired to look up all of the polish names... my spologies!  The clover is actually a sticker from a company called "Make It Stick".  I bought these stickers about a month ago with the full intent of wearing them on St. Patty's Day; I figured gold would be more fun that green.  Really, this whole mani kind of revolves around the clover...

I achieved the plain with a steady hand and a black striping brush.  For the rainbow, I used the same technique that I used with my neon swirly rainbow from last summer.  The gorgeous glitter bomb is Shimmer Polish "Kelly", a super pretty mix of green and gold glitters!

Yaaaaayyy!!

I'm Feelin' Cheesy

Hello dolls,

Today I decided to be adventurous and try out s mani that I saw from the always awesome Christabell Nails!  I saw her mani on IG and she had mentioned also having a video tutorial so I figured it was worth a shot haha...

 Colors Used: Sally Hansen - Lightening, OPI - The "It" Color, Julep - Blake

I friggin' love the way this turned out!  I just think it's super cute :)

I followed Christabell's easy-to-follow instructions and it really was a cinch!  I top coated with my new favorite matte topper from Mentality.  They seriously make the best matte polishes... ever... for reals.

A Wild Frenchie

 Hello dearies!

I have a simple frenchie to share with you today!  If you have the basics of a french manicure down, this look is pretty simple.  If the idea of giving yourself a french mani gives you hear palpitations... all I can say is practice, practice practice lol.  I've only just recently felt like my frenchie's are presentable and I've been working at it for a couple of years ;)

 Colors Used: Shimmer Polish - Irene, China Glaze - Turned Up Turquoise, Sinful Colors Nail Art - Time Off

I started with a taupe base on my tips.  After getting the crescent shape that I wanted, I went back over my tips with Irene using a striping brush.  Irene is an absolute stunning glitter polish!  It's a mix of champagne, gold, silver and holo micro glitters.  I wish I could have picked up just how rainbowy this beauty is.  Trust me... it's a stunner!!

Once I had my tips the way I wanted them, I took a dotting tool and splotched out my turquoise spots.  I then used a black striper amd outline my spots.  Lastly, I top coated with Duri Miracote.

 

I like that this is elegant white adding a pop of fun and color!  I really love the way it turned out :)  For those who are curious, the formula on Irene does not disappoint.  As with all Shimmer's, this polish is compacted with glitter.  I only used one coat of glitter over taupe to achieve opaqueness on my tips!  Irene, along with so many other gorgeous glittering polishes, can be found in Shimmer Polish's Etsy Shop :)

Shine Bright Like a Diamond

 Hello dolls!

Today I decided to brighten things up with some neon!  I kept the polka dot ring finger from my last mani and opted for some free-handed nail art...

 Colors Used: China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy, Love & Beauty - Highlighter Glitter, Daisy Nail Lacquer - White Diamond, Rimmel - Black Satin, Sinful Colors Nail Art - Time Off

I started with 2 coats of Flip Flop Fantasy.  It's one of my favorite polishes in my collection; it's just neon coral loveliness!  A medium sized dotting tool was used for my polka dots...

For the diamond, I used a black striper (Sinful Colors) and just kind of eyeballed my design.  It was much simpler than I thought it would be!  Anybody interested in a tutorial?  The mani was sealed with Duri's Miracote Fast Dry Top Coat.

 

I'm pretty happy with the way thins turned out :)  Here's hoping my nail art mojo sticks around for a little while!

Back to Basics

Hello lovelies!

I've got a quick post for you today.  I'm getting my feet wet (or would it be nails wet?) with nail art again and decided to go back to basics.  I did a simple skittlette in a red, white and black theme.  I chose to use Shimmer Polish's "Cindy" again (*disclaimer)...

 Colors Used: Shimmer Polish - Cindy, Rimmel - Black Satin, Daisy Nail Lacquer - White Diamond

Cindy really is an impressive and fabulous red glitter.  I layered 2 coats of it over a red base on both my index finger and pinky.  I then sponged it over black  on my middle finger to get a glittering  ombre look.

I then did some simple polka dots on my ring finger using a medium sized dotting tool.  I topped it off with Duri's Miracote Fast Dry Top Coat.

For reals... if you are a lover of glitter polishes... RUN over to Shimmer Polish and get yourself some goodness haha.
