Today's post is probably some of the busiest nail art I've done in a while. While I prefer simple/clean looking nail art, I wanted to get some more practice in with acrylic paints. And... well... I just love Halloween manis ;)
Colors Used: KBShimmer - Eclipse, Painted Polish - Drunk on Holo, Candied Apple Polish - Starch and Lilacs, Acrylic Paints
There's a lot going on here! Let me start with my inspiration hahaha. I've been trying to think outside the box with my Halloween manis this year. I want to challenge myself to try other things. After 3 years of Frankenstein's... he needs a little rest :P
So I thought what about a bubbling cauldron? I'm loving bubble art right now! Then the classic Shakespearean witches chant popped into my head. "Double, double, toil and trouble. Fire burn and cauldron bubble!" I was sold. A witch mani it would be!
I did this in stages because I had very limited time on my hands (ha!). I stared with my base colors (2 coats for each), top coated and went to work. I woke up the next day and started on my design with acrylic paint. I need more practice with letters *sigh*. But I do love the way the witch and cauldron came out :D
Hmmm... what other Halloween things bubble? Lol I'm a little obsessed!
I hope you like it! Like I said, I know it's busy but sometimes that's a good thing right? ;)
Until next time!

Great inspiration, love the cauldron.
ReplyDeleteLove the nail with the cauldron! This was so creative.
ReplyDeleteIf you can't go all out with a Halloween man, when can you co all out? :) I always prefer simple looks, myself, but this is so fun! Your cauldron is particularly awesome but whatever's going on on your index finger looks rad, too :)
