Drunk Ladybug A La My Husband

Hellooooo!

I feel like it's been forever!  I know it hasn't but still... I've missed mah ladies ;)  Well this will be a quick post because... I'm tired.  Like really tired.  I can't wait until my vaca this weekend.  Oh... that's right.  Surprise!  I'm going out of town this weekend which means there will be a bit of a hiatus (like 3 days). Mayhaps I'll post pics of my fun from my iPad, we shall see.  Gah!  I'm rambling!!

Soooo my hubby and I were sitting around Saturday evening with nothing to do.  This was the result lol.

I'm so proud of him!  He did this all by his lonesome :D  He was terrified of getting polish in my cuticles because he knows it's a pet peeve for me so he inched the polish down my nail bed... it was hysterical to watch lol.  Slow and steady wins the race, or so they say, and he proved them right.  This took a little over an hour to complete and he asked me for minimal advice (altho I dropped quite a few "subtle"/helpful hints :P).  I love my honey <3

My friend Olive (who's chillin' on my couch as I type) said the lady bug looked drunk.  She then made a drunk ladybug face... I almost died!  Lol too funny!!

So, I'm going to try and get back into the swing of this blogging thing but I make no promises! ;)  Love to you all...

Sissy's Springy Nails

Hello, hello, hello!

I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted!  My bad :\  Last week was really busy at work, plus my regular rehearsal schedule.  Aaaand we got a new bunny (en lieu of having a baby right now lol) so I haven't wanted to be on the computer, I've just been hanging out with her.  This is also the reason for the guest hands on my blog today.  I haven't been doing any nail art, oops!

I have twin sister-in-law's and the youngest of the two (by 3 mins I think?) wanted something fun on her nails for her trip to North Carolina.  This is what we came up with :)

 Colors Used: Finger Paints - Inkblot Blue, Julep - Scarlett

That ladybug turned out pretty darling.

I think clouds may be my new favorite nail art thing to do.  With just a little finagling of a medium sized dotting tool, you can get some cute and fluffy clouds :D 

I missed a spot cleaning up! *sigh* It's always something...

I shall try to manufacture more mani's this week for you, my lovely followers.  Thanks for stickin' around :)

Unconventional Ladybugs :)

Goooood morning all!  Let the work week commence!  Hahaha...

Today's mani was inspired by my kids at work.  I really love my job.  I get to play all day with silly kids!  I have fun and get paid while doing it, what more could I ask for?  :)

The kiddos are currently obsessed with "ladybugs".  Pretty much any beetle that they find that's small and roundish, they classify as a lady bug.  I loved the idea of ladybug nails but red really isn't my color (it's my favorite color, it just doesn't complement my skin tone).  So i thought, "If the little ones can have different colored lady bugs, so can I!"...

 Colors Used: O.P.I. My Pointe Exactly, O.P.I. - Pirouette My Whistle, Sally Hansen - Pumping Iron, Julep - Meryl, Rimmel - Black Satin

They turned out better that I expected and I really don't hae much to say about it.  The silver (SH - Pumping Iron) was a little difficult to work with.  It applied easily but, because it's a metallic, it was super streaky.  Not much I could do about it (altho I did try to verbally coax it into cooperating... which did me no good... obvi...).  I'm just going to let the photos speak for themselves...

There you have it.  I suppose this will wind down my Spring-ish mani's.  I'll be moving on to summer mani's with somewhat of a heavy heart.  Spring is my favorite season of the year and I'm sad to see it go.  Anywhossie...
